Cyber-Physical Systems Security & Privacy workshop

SCOPE

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are considered to be the core of Industry 4.0 that integrate the process of communication, computation and control. More specifically, by embedding modules of sensing, communication, computation into physical devices, the goals of CPS are to achieve decentralized sensing, reliable data transmission and real-time physical control with feedback loops where physical processes affect computations. Malicious attacks targeted to CPS that not only a single computer is affected, but also influence the interconnected physical world. It would lead to malfunction of devices and control systems with severe financial losses. Thus, CPS serve as critical infrastructure in our lives, their security and privacy become extremely important.
This workshop aims to exploit novel solutions to CPS security and privacy challenges. Besides, the submissions about the security and privacy of the other systems such as Internet of Things, Industrial Control Systems, SCADA, Smart Grid, Transportation Systems, Medical Systems are also all welcome.

WORKSHOP AREAS

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following subjects:

1.Novel attacks and threat modeling for CPS
2.Authentication protocols for CPS
3.Access control models for CPS
4.Data privacy for CPS
5.Key management in CPS
6.Intrusion detection for CPS
7.Risk analysis for CPS
8.Other systems security & privacy

PAPER SUBMISSION

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. The papers should be prepared in English and submitted in PDF format via the IEEE DSC site (For detailed requirements and template, please visit http://www.ieee-dsc.org/2017/CallForPapers.html). All accepted papers will appear in the proceedings of the IEEE DSC2017 conference. If accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the workshop to present the work. Accepted papers without presentations will be excluded from the proceedings.
